SideQuest (“we”, “us”), a Brown Pig company, turns your city into real-world quests. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Account. Your email address and password (passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider, never in plain text).
Profile & activity. Your city, the party profiles you create, quests generated, and check-ins — including approximate location coordinates when you check in, used only to verify you were at a stop.
Optional photos. If you add a check-in photo, it’s stored privately and only visible to you and via links you choose to share.
Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store an anonymous device subscription so we can send you quest reminders.
To build your quests, verify check-ins, award points and streaks, run leaderboards and referrals, send you transactional and re-engagement messages, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
Location is used only when you check in, to confirm you’re at the venue. We don’t track your location in the background. You can deny location access and use a photo to check in instead.
We use trusted service providers (hosting, database, email, payments, maps) to operate SideQuest. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details. We may share information if required by law.
You can edit your profile, disable notifications at any time, and request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. Marketing emails include a way to opt out.
SideQuest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
